Drove substantial growth in a portfolio of agricultural products to consistently break trading records and become world price benchmarks for the European market.
Implemented new technology platforms including the Guardian Commodity Management System – build cost $3mln.
Led the successful migration of an open-outcry commodities trading floor to the exchange’s electronic trading platform.
Developed business partnerships globally, most notably in Europe, USA, China and India.
Planned and implemented commodities business strategy for a major global exchange, including taking a leading role in the identification and pursuit of $1bln+ M&A opportunities (e.g. LME, ICE) as well as business alliances.
Contributed to regulatory policy and advocacy initiatives towards regulators and Government relating to MiFID/MiFID II, Competition/anti-trust, and other key legislative requirements.
Led the drafting and implementation of comprehensive Grading and Warehousekeeping procedures for a major global exchange.
Pioneered the London-based cocoa trading activities, and led the development of cocoa beans and cocoa products sourcing and sales activities in Asia, for two major US investment banks.
